Job summary

The New Mexico VA Health Care System is seeking a Nursing Assistant for our Rehab Unit GEC Service in Albuquerque, NM. Applicants may be referred while educational or licensure requirements are pending and may not be hired until all requirements are met. This position requires U.S.

citizenship or compliance with VA policy for non-citizens, English proficiency, and appropriate education/experience. The grade level ranges from GS-3 to GS-5 with specific KSAs to demonstrate for full performance.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
• English Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with VA Policy.
• Experience or Education or Training: Six months of general experience OR one year of education above high school with related courses OR completion of an intensive occupation-related training course of less than one year as a NA.
• Grandfathering Provisions: Existing NAs may be grandfathered under VA Qualification Standards.
• Grade Determinations: GS-3 NA entry level; GS-4 NA with experience or education; GS-5 NA with more experience and KSAs.

Bachelor's degree with 24 semester hours health care related
