Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team within the rehabilitation unit and assume 24-hour accountability for patient care and staff performance.

The role collaborates with the Program Director and other leaders to design and implement systems of care, ensure regulatory readiness, and uphold Mary Free Bed standards of behavior and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Virginia; BSN preferred; BLS certification current.
• Minimum two years of nursing leadership experience.
• Strong communication, decision-making and data interpretation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and health records systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership for the rehabilitation unit and 24-hour patient care accountability.
• Oversee interviewing, selection, and formal evaluations of nursing staff.
• Develop staffing plans, budget monitoring and resource allocation.
• Advance quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory readiness.
• Collaborate with leaders, physicians and staff to design and implement care systems.
• Ensure complete, accurate patient care documentation in accordance with policies.
