Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse/licensed vocational nurse for our inpatient rehabilitation team in a role focused on compassionate, individualized patient care. You will work closely with RNs to follow care plans, monitor vital signs, and support patients on their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN licensure required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• One year experience in inpatient medical surgical or general hospital setting.
• Rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help patients by providing direct care, following the patient’s personalized care plan and physician orders.
• Observe patient behaviors, including taking and monitoring vital signs, symptoms and responses to treatments.
• Work directly with Registered Nurses to report findings and carry out patient’s care plans.
• Build rewarding relationships with patients by having the time to learn about each patient’s physical, mental and emotional needs to help them recover.
• Celebrate patient wins along the way.
