Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Rehab Director OT, COTA, PT, or PTA to serve as the primary Legacy representative at the facility, promoting policies and clinical programs while supporting aging adults to live safe, healthy lives.

You will build relationships with patients and staff and lead a team dedicated to delivering high-quality rehab services. You will oversee productivity, plan therapy programming, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with standards as you coordinate

Qualifications

• Clinical therapy background required (PT/PTA/OT/COTA/SLP).
• Three to five years’ experience in long-term care or senior living.
• Licensed and registered in the state where assigned.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with facility staff and Legacy employees to identify needs.
• Oversee rehab department productivity and implement staffing adjustments to meet caseloads.
• Develop and coordinate therapy programming based on facility census and patient needs.
• Direct and train staff across disciplines in clinical service delivery.
• Coordinate daily rehab operations with facility staff and Legacy leadership.
• Contribute to clinical outcomes reporting and communicate results to the customer.

• Create rapport and positive working relationships with key facility personnel and fellow Legacy employees that allows for discovery of others’ needs.
• Oversee internal marketing efforts to assist with relationship building with staff and residents while keeping community leaders apprised of Legacy’s programs and other offerings.
• Manage site productivity and makes necessary changes to achieve budget.
• Maintain a caseload that assists the rehab department in meeting standards.
• Able to assess patient needs and develop clinical programs appropriate for the facility census.
• Able to direct and train others in clinical service delivery across disciplines.
• Daily coordination of rehab department with facility staff to plan and implement therapy programming.
• Participates in clinical outcomes reporting and shares with the customer.
• Manages staff schedules to meet the caseload requirements and utilizes the scheduling tools for patient schedules.
• Manages CliniFax and all requirements of physician signatures on the therapy plan of cares.
• Creates and maintains team relationships and open communication with and between rehab staff, facility staff, and Legacy corporate personnel.
• Assists with orientation/training for staff with guidance and assistance from ARD/ MSM to meet company, state and federal standards.

Position requirements:

• Clinical background as a Physical Therapist (PT), Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Occupational Therapist (OT), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), or
• Speech Language Pathologies (SLP).
• Three to five years’ experience in long-term care (LTC) or senior living. Some prior supervisory experience preferred but not required.
• Minimum of a degree from accredited college or university or equivalent experience (i.e., degree in PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP).
• Licensed and registered (PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP) in state where assigned.
