Description

Compensation: Pay Range: $70,425.00 - $114,440.00 / year. UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center is opening an 11-story, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility in spring 2025. The new UAB Rehabilitation Pavilion will include 78 beds and the latest technology, designed to promote functional activity at every turn. Our team of highly skilled therapists work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive, evidence-based care focused on each patient's recovery journey. We support professional development through mentorship and growth opportunities, including coverage for certain professional certifications. UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center, a nationally designated SCI and TBI Model System, provides physical, occupational, speech, recreational, and music therapy. Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate care services, conduct utilization reviews, and provide case management for patients at Spain Rehabilitation Center in a cost-effective manner.
  • Orient and support patients and their families through the rehabilitation process.
  • Assess patient's status and facilitate discharge planning.
  • Ensure smooth transition of patients through the continuum of care.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
  • At least three (3) years of related experience in a rehabilitation environment and/or case management.
  • Rehab case management experience preferred.
  • Work experience may not substitute for educational requirements.
  • Current license or eligibility to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama State Boards.
  • Current CPR certification.
