Job summary

HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is seeking a Rehabilitation Aide (PT) to support therapists with patient care, transport, and department upkeep in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Under direct supervision, you will assist during therapy sessions, help move patients and equipment, and help keep the department clean, organized, and properly stocked while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certifications: BLS/Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience: Prior healthcare or relevant support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and assist during therapy treatments.
• Support department maintenance and patient transport as assigned.

Job Summary and Qualifications

A Rehabilitation Aide (PT) assists physical and occupational therapists with routine patient care, department maintenance, and patient transport under direct professional supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Support: Transport patients, help with patient-related activities, and assist during therapy treatments as assigned by licensed professionals

• Department Maintenance: Keep the physical therapy department clean, organized, and properly stocked

• Equipment Care: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and setup of therapy equipment

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.

• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, bend, and lift or move patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.

• Experience: Prior healthcare or relevant support experience is preferred
