Job summary

HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our nursing team and assist with daily patient care plans. You will help with vital signs, mobility, personal care, and keeping patient areas safe and welcoming.

You will work closely with Registered Nurses to monitor conditions, document care, and communicate with patients and families. No travel is required, and a comprehensive benefits package supports your health, life, and retirement goals.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
