The Rehabilitation Aide assists in preparing patients and the environment for treatments and supports therapists in delivering treatment under supervision, either in groups or individually. The aide works across various settings, including acute care, acute rehab, skilled facilities, and outpatient clinics.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

1. Interacts professionally with co-workers, visitors, and staff, upholding the values of Jefferson.
2. Assists with patient care under the supervision of licensed therapy professionals, following departmental policies and state guidelines.
3. Transports patients to treatment areas punctually for scheduled therapy sessions.
4. Ensures that equipment and treatment areas are clean, properly stored, and ready for use, adhering to hospital and departmental policies.
5. Performs clerical duties as directed to support smooth departmental operations.
6. Supervises exercise programs, leads group exercises, and documents attendance, fees, and safety considerations appropriately.
7. Demonstrates basic computer skills such as scheduling, billing, and administering surveys, and is familiar with setting up new patients.
8. Communicates effectively and promptly with therapists and supervisors to facilitate coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School diploma required.

Experience:

0-2 years of experience preferred, with at least 1 year being advantageous.

CPR certification is required.
