Job summary

GW Hospital, a 395-bed academic medical center in downtown Washington, DC, seeks a Clinical Liaison to coordinate admissions to the inpatient rehabilitation unit. You will assess candidates, coordinate with rehab physicians and the Medical Director, and streamline referrals with case management to move patients into rehab at the right time.

The role requires clinical licensure (PT/OT/ST/RN or equivalent) and acute rehab exposure, with a focus on smooth cross-team collaboration and compliant

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as PT, OT, ST, RN or other clinical field.
• 1 year of acute rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• This position acts as an inpatient rehabilitation expert between internal and external referral sources and the inpatient rehabilitation program.
• The Clinical Liaison will ensure appropriate patient admissions to the inpatient rehab unit through clinical assessments and screenings in collaboration with the rehab physicians and Medical Director.
• The Clinical Liaison is the primary responsible party focused on moving appropriate candidates into the inpatient rehabilitation unit at the appropriate time.
• The Clinical Liaison works closely with hospital case management to ensure a responsive and smooth flowing referral and admission process for the inpatient rehab program.
