Montcare Bethesda in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our caring team. You will plan, implement, and evaluate activities to promote social connection, recreation, and overall well-being for our patients and residents in a welcoming setting.

In this full-time role, you will collaborate with therapy and nursing staff, tailor programs to individual needs, maintain records, and support daily living tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; recreation therapy degree preferred.
• 0 years of healthcare experience; training in activities administration a plus.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse patients, residents, and staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement recreational activities tailored to patient needs and interests.
• Collaborate with therapy and nursing teams to create individualized activity plans.
• Conduct assessments to identify needs and adjust activities accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and participant involvement.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of activity areas, ensuring a safe environment.
• Provide support with daily living tasks such as transfers and ambulation as needed.
