Job summary

MÜNZING CHEMIE GmbH is seeking a Regulatory Specialist I to support our Clover, SC site. You will assist with customer regulatory inquiries, tariff classifications, TSCA imports, and dangerous goods declarations while coordinating across Sales, Marketing and Technical teams.

The role involves maintaining regulatory data, reviewing international chemical regulations, and providing guidance for new product development. Some travel is possible, with a standard 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemistry required.
2–5 years of Regulatory (EH&S) experience.
Experience with chemical compliance or food regulations preferred.
Experience with performance chemical additives is a plus.
Ability to manage cross-functional, geographically dispersed projects and improve processes.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer regulatory inquiries / questionnaires.
Maintain metrics and communicate status to Sales/Marketing personnel.
Handle global tariff classification and country of origin / USMCA documents.
Obtain TSCA certification for imports.
Prepare and sign Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods (IMDG, IATA and DOT).
Review international regulations for chemicals and define product clearances / requirements.
Support the technical group for new product development.
Obtain EH&S information for raw materials from suppliers.
Develop a database listing material global clearance.
Enter and maintain data in CHEMGES, Lotus Notes, Sharepoint.
Generate SDS and labels using existing software.
Review and update documents to meet country/region requirements.
Maintain system data integrity.
