Job Description

The Regulatory Specialist will professionally and competently manage and support external regulatory inquiries with a focus on protecting the Chubb brand by:

  1. Reducing regulatory risk by promoting an organizational culture of compliance within Chubb,
  2. Fostering strong relationships with regulators by building trust through honesty and transparency,
  3. Understanding all aspects of Chubb’s activities in the United States, and
  4. Staying informed of how the current and evolving regulatory landscape relates to, and impacts upon, Chubb’s activities.

The ideal candidate will sit in our Whitehouse Station, NJ or Philadelphia, PA offices.

Major Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Manage the Regulatory Complaint Handling Process for Chubb’s US P&C Companies, including intake, logging, distribution, tracking, and submission of regulatory complaints, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  2. Develop and circulate reports regarding internal complaint activity and external industry data.
  3. Assist in planning and coordinating administrative details of regulatory audits and examinations (e.g., financial, market conduct, workers' compensation, rating bureaus, second injury funds), regulatory investigations, and ad hoc data calls/surveys.
  4. Provide consultative support to business clients in addressing regulatory issues.
  5. Assist in planning and executing strategies to develop and sustain relationships with key insurance regulators.
  6. Support team efforts to utilize systems designed to record and manage data related to current and historical regulatory examinations.
Reporting Relationships
  • Reports to a Regulatory Affairs Manager within the NA Regulatory Affairs Group.
Qualifications
  1. 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry or regulatory/compliance role.
  2. Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline preferred.
  3. Experience handling regulatory complaints or market conduct examinations preferred.
  4. Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  5. Ability to collaborate and negotiate with internal and external clients.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  8. Able to work independently as well as in groups.
  9. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  10. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  11. Active learner with the desire to take on new challenges regularly.
