GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Regulatory Specialist is responsible for the safety evaluation and documentation of all finished formulations and cosmetic products in compliance with global regulations and guidelines. This role focuses on the regulatory evaluation, documentation, and compliance of cosmetic products across various markets and supports the successful distribution and marketing of products worldwide. This position requires a strong understanding of cosmetic regulations, labeling requirements, and international market entry compliance associated with the distribution of cosmetics, skin care, and other personal care products. The Regulatory specialist works closely with cross functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product Development- to support regulatory documentation, product registrations, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
This is not a remote or hybrid role. Please note that the person in this role will be required to work in-office at our Ft. Worth, TX (Alliance) location 5-days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain and review regulatory documentation (e.g., SDS, PIFs, CPSRs) for finished goods to ensure accuracy and compliance with international regulations.
- Ensure product labels, packaging, claims, and ingredient lists meet regulatory requirements across domestic and global markets.
- Support and coordinate product registrations and filings with regulatory agencies such as the FDA, EU CPNP, Health Canada, and other international authorities.
- Manage compliance records in internal systems (e.g., ERP, documentation databases) and ensure files are cataloged and audit-ready.
- Monitor global regulatory changes and provide actionable guidance to internal teams on compliance risks and requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Quality to support new product launches and market entry from a regulatory perspective.
- Assist in the development of regulatory strategies to support product distribution, launch timelines, and maintenance of existing SKUs.
- Assist in identifying regulatory risks related to product distribution and claims, and support mitigation efforts.
- Review and approve artwork, product labels, and marketing content for regulatory compliance prior to launch.
EXPERIENCED REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field required.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs.
- Regulatory experience with Product Listings, under MoCRA, preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory information to different audiences.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively across departments and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiar with regulatory databases and software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and extensive walking in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 30-lbs and bend.
- Travel may vary between the Alliance location and Coppell location, must have reliable transportation.
