Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks a Regulatory Reporting - Product Owner to modernize Call Reporting data and processes focused on FR Y-9C, FR Y-14A, FR Y-14M, FR Y-14Q. Own product vision, backlog, and governance across releases with enterprise stakeholders.

You will lead Agile delivery with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and senior stakeholders, ensuring production readiness and data quality while coaching analysts and associate product owners.

Qualifications

  • Experience owning a product backlog and leading Agile delivery in a regulated environment.
  • Leadership experience managing 5–15 people.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Lean, Kaizen and Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with production readiness, testing strategy, and QA in large implementations.
  • Familiarity with bank regulatory compliance, governance and audit alignment.
  • Knowledge of data lineage and data flow documentation with traceability.
  • Ability to translate strategy into a prioritized roadmap and user stories.
  • Stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Federal Reserve Call Reporting FR Y-9C/FR Y-14 schedules.
  • Preferred: CSPO or SAFe POPM certification.

Our client seeks a Regulatory Reporting - Product Owner to modernize Call Reporting data and processes with primary focus on FR Y-9C, FR Y-14A, FR Y-14M, FR Y-14Q. The role owns the product vision and backlog, leads Agile delivery, and partners with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and senior stakeholders to deliver accurate and compliant regulatory reporting. The Product Owner manages analysts and associate product owners, sets metrics, drives remediation of data deficiencies, and ensures production readiness and governance across releases.

Responsibilities
  • Own and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to enterprise and business unit goals.
  • Translate business strategy into a prioritized product backlog that delivers measurable value.
  • Define success metrics and track product performance against KPIs and OKRs.
  • Identify market, customer, and competitive trends within financial services to inform product direction.
  • Prioritize and remediate data deficiencies to support Call Reporting accuracy and data quality.
  • Maintain a well-defined, estimable, and value-prioritized backlog reflecting regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Write and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and definition of done with the delivery team.
  • Make scope and trade‑off decisions to keep delivery unblocked.
  • Manage Regulatory Reporting requirements backlog and prioritize releases and fixes by impact.
  • Lead and coach product analysts and associate product owners, providing feedback and development support.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and serve as the voice of the customer.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters to manage velocity, capacity, and dependencies.
  • Remove impediments related to scope, priority, or stakeholder alignment.
  • Oversee production readiness, testing strategy, defect management, and evidence capture with QA and Technology.
  • Serve as primary liaison between business sponsors, technology teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Build consensus on priorities, trade‑offs, and release plans across cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Facilitate governance forums and steering committees, including regulatory or compliance‑sensitive initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain the interaction model between Enterprise Data Technology Management and Regulatory Reporting.
  • Support Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives with enterprise data teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and escalat risks and changes as needed.
  • Define and monitor product success metrics and use feedback to inform prioritization.
  • Apply Agile, Lean, and Kaizen to drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion a high‑performance culture and mentor to close performance gaps.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Agile practices and banking technology trends.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience owning a product backlog and leading Agile delivery in a complex or regulated environment, ideally financial services.
  • People leadership experience managing or mentoring teams of approximately 5 to 15.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile, Lean, and Kaizen and experience with Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience leading or supporting production readiness, testing strategy, and QA for large implementations.
  • Working knowledge of bank regulatory compliance, controls, and governance with audit alignment experience.
  • Strong knowledge of data lineage and data flow documentation with hands‑on traceability mapping.
  • Ability to translate strategy into a prioritized roadmap and actionable user stories.
  • Stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Reserve Call Reporting, particularly FR Y-9C, FR Y-14A, FR Y-14M, FR Y-14Q schedules and source data.
  • Resourceful problem solver with technical fluency to engage data and technology teams.
  • Preferred: CSPO, SAFe POPM, or equivalent certification.
  • Preferred: Experience with acquisitions, integration testing, wealth management implementations, or banking operations.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting FR Y-14M/Q, FR Y-9C, or comparable regulatory programs.
  • Preferred: Track record in organizational change management and continuous‑improvement cultures.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
