Join our Regulatory Reporting Policy team as a Vice President! The Regulatory Reporting Policy team sits within Corporate Finance – Corporate Controllers specifically within the Bank Controller, Accounting Policy and Reporting (BCAPR), consisting of the Bank Controller, Corporate Accounting Policy, Regulatory Reporting Policy, Inter-entity Analysis, Quality Review & Control and SEC Reporting teams.

As a Vice President on the Regulatory Reporting Policy team, you will provide Firmwide guidance, assist with the interpretation of regulatory reporting rules and instructions, support our internal stakeholders to ensure the Firm’s compliance with reporting requirements, establish the framework for and deliver regulatory reporting training, and provide regulatory exam support.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of regulatory reporting related technical trainings
  • Lead initiative in supporting Firmwide regulatory reporting training frameworks
  • Coordinate assessment of proposed changes to the applicable U.S. regulatory reports with the reporting teams and assist & coordinate feedbacks to regulators including comment letters
  • Collaborate with regulatory reporting teams within FRRA in implementation of new rule or regulation changes
  • Provide SME guidance related to regulatory reporting requirement changes and implementation considerations
  • Provide technical interpretation & guidance on regulatory reporting issues and document interpretations of complex transactions and new products
  • Participate in policy implementation initiatives and coordinate implementation update to the Regulatory Reporting Policy & Implementation Committee
  • Define, develop, and maintain Firmwide regulatory reporting policy and guidelines
  • Liaise with regulators on questions requiring formal interpretations
  • Develop and maintain internal policy interpretation and implementation related Frequent Asked Questions to the regulators

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Accounting degree required
  • 5 years of experience in banking/capital market industry, with US GAAP interpretation expertise required
  • Banking/capital market product knowledge (loans, deposits, equity investments, debt securities, derivatives, securities financing transactions) required
  • Vice President level or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpretation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams and interface with senior management and staff
  • Delivers timely and high quality work consistently over time with a sense of urgency
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely articulate US GAAP or regulatory reporting requirements
  • Attention to detailswith the ability to understand and analyze complex reporting rules and instructions
  • Experience with establishing and meeting critical deadlines, as well as tracking and driving execution

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Big Four experience a plus
  • Prior regulatory reporting policy interpretation experience a plus
  • IFRS interpretation expertise a plus
