Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an analyst to support regulatory reporting across Mexico and Brazil. This role will perform data validation, reconciliations, and control procedures to ensure submissions meet regulatory deadlines and data quality standards.

The analyst will execute preventive and detective controls, maintain evidentiary support, and collaborate with Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Finance to strengthen the control environment.

Qualifications

  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory reports in accordance with procedures and deadlines.
  • Execute preventive and detective controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of submissions.
  • Perform report validations, reconciliations, QA reviews, and control checks prior to submission.
  • Maintain evidence supporting key controls and reporting activities per regulatory and internal policies.
  • Monitor reporting processes and identify risks that could impact accuracy or timing.
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate data quality issues and reporting exceptions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and support remediation for deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with data providers, technology teams, and business stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Support implementation of new regulatory requirements, report changes, and system enhancements.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and readiness activities for new reports and changes.
  • Maintain procedures, reporting inventories, control documentation, and runbooks.
  • Support internal audits, compliance reviews, examinations, and risk assessments with documentation.

Job Description:


This role will be responsible for supporting the preparation, review, control execution, and submission of regulatory and non‑financial regulatory reports across Mexico and Brazil. The analyst will perform reporting activities, data validations, reconciliations, and control procedures to ensure regulatory submissions are completed accurately, completely, and within established regulatory deadlines.


The role also will support a diverse portfolio of reports covering client activity, payments, deposits, digital banking, account lifecycle events, operational controls, and regulatory disclosures. Reporting obligations include submissions to local regulators in Mexico and Brazil and require close partnership with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Business teams to ensure reporting integrity, data quality, and adherence to regulatory requirements.


A key component of the role is the execution of preventive and detective controls, investigation of reporting exceptions, remediation of data quality issues, and maintenance of evidence supporting regulatory submissions. The analyst will also contribute to process improvement, automation, regulatory change implementation, and operational excellence initiatives.


Responsibilities:



  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory and non‑financial regulatory reports in accordance with established procedures, regulatory requirements, and reporting deadlines;


  • Execute preventive and detective controls designed to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of regulatory reporting submissions;


  • Perform report validations, reconciliations, quality assurance reviews, and control checks prior to report submission;


  • Maintain evidence supporting key controls and reporting activities in accordance with regulatory, audit, and internal policy requirements;


  • Monitor reporting processes and proactively identify risks that could impact report accuracy, completeness, or timely submission;


  • Identify, investigate, and elevate data quality issues, control failures, reporting exceptions, and operational incidents;


  • Perform root cause analysis and support remediation efforts to address reporting and control deficiencies;


  • Partner with data providers, technology teams, and business stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and strengthen the reporting control environment;


  • Support implementation of new regulatory requirements, report changes, system enhancements, and process improvements;


  • Participate in testing, validation, and operational readiness activities for new reports, technology changes, and process enhancements;


  • Maintain procedures, reporting inventories, control documentation, desktop procedures, and operational runbooks;


  • Support internal audits, compliance reviews, regulatory examinations, and risk assessments through documentation gathering and evidence preparation;


  • Contribute to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reporting quality, control effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
