Job summary

LifeSpice Ingredients, a fast-growing food company, seeks a Regulatory Manager in our River North, Chicago location. This onsite role focuses on regulatory guidance, customer documentation support, and compliance reviews for LifeSpice products.

You will collaborate with R&D, Procurement, and Quality to ensure product specifications and labels meet regulatory standards and corporate policies. 4+ years in regulatory roles and a BS in Food Science are required; expect occasional travel to Lowell,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Regulatory or Food Industry
• Experience in document management system
• Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations
• BS in Food Science, nutrition, or similar field
• Occasional trips to blending partner; quarterly onsite audits in Lowell, IN

Responsibilities

• Work closely with R&D Product Development, Regulatory, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure material specs are accurate, compliant, and captured in recipe systems
• Provide regulatory information and guidance to internal and external customers
• Review and approve new labels and label changes
• Obtain documentation on raw materials and load into formula management system
• Manage and maintain raw material status and regulatory/quality programs (Kosher, Organic, Halal, FDA, CFIA)
• Advise R&D on regulatory and nutrition labeling and claims
• Organize, update, and maintain regulatory documentation per procedures
• Participate on project teams to resolve regulatory concerns
