Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Trials Coordinator to independently manage and coordinate all aspects of trials for selected departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and institutional requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 3 years of research experience or 2 years plus ACRP/SOCRA certification. Strong communication, organizational, and team skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking and knowledge of medical/clinical research terminology and processes.
• Knowledge of safe protocol management in clinical trials.
• Ability to coordinate and oversee regulatory processes for audits and reviews.
• Knowledge of grant and budget development.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web-based applications including Epic.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to promote teamwork and support institutional goals.
• Willingness to travel between facilities and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manages research activities and data management for clinical trials and supports study startup.
• Maintains study compliance and participates in regulatory audits.
• Manages data and leads / supports special projects.
• Maintains strong relationships with study sponsors.
• Pursues opportunities for ongoing education.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
