Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with extensive clinical research experience to lead and coordinate trials, ensure protocol adherence, and mentor junior staff. The role requires licensure in the state, a strong nursing background, and proficiency with Epic.

The position supports patient recruitment, informed consent, data integrity, and collaboration across departments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and sponsor requirements.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice, current and active.
• 5 years in a clinical specialty with 3 years in clinical research, or 4 years research with relevant nursing certs.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication, ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Participates in clinical trial selection with research leadership and evaluates recruitment strategies.
• Uses nursing process to ensure protocol compliance, including recruitment and informed consent.
• Coordinates and oversees patient activity and safety during trials.
• Mentors junior staff and assists in onboarding and cross‑training.
• Completes data entry into sponsor systems and supports data coordinators.
