Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking experienced Microbiology Subject Matter Experts to conduct safety evaluations of dietary ingredients and dietary supplement products for FDA regulatory review activities. Candidates will review NDIN submissions, assess contamination data, and prepare technically defensible reports.

Ideal applicants hold an MS or PhD in Microbiology or related fields, with 0–2 years of relevant experience and strong technical writing abilities.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
• Minimum 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with microbiological testing and characterization methods.
• Experience evaluating scientific literature and data quality.
• Experience supporting microbiological risk assessments.
• Knowledge of microbial identification techniques.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological safety assessments and risk characterization of dietary ingredients and supplements.
• Review NDIN submissions and evaluate microbiological data.
• Review literature and perform evidence assessments for regulatory review.
• Prepare scientific memoranda, reports and regulatory documentation.
• Present findings to reviewers and technical specialists.
