Job summary

PPL Corporation seeks a Regulatory Reporting Intern to support filings of distribution and transmission rates with FERC and state utility commissions. You will work about 3 days per week in-office near Allentown, PA or Louisville, KY, and two days remotely, with hours roughly 20–30 per week in spring/fall and 40 during summers.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or economics.
  • Must have a basic understanding of financial and accounting theory / principles.
  • Minimum 3.00 GPA and USCIS eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare supporting schedules included in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and filings with the FERC and state regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure accounting and reporting comply with FERC and regulatory requirements; assist with adoption of new regulations.
  • Support the preparation of regulatory filings including distribution and transmission rate filings and required regulatory reports.
  • Help improve control documentation and update procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
