Job summary

The Southwest Florida Water Management District invites applications for a Regulatory Support Intern in Brooksville, FL. This part-time student internship conducts data analysis, ePermitting help desk support, and reporting to help improve workflows.

Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing operational data, producing dashboards, and supporting data validation. Remote work is not offered; on-site at Brooksville office, with up to 25 hours/week and a focus on developing essential data

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or other recognized educational or vocational program.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 for undergraduate students or minimum GPA of 3.0 for graduate students.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist data analysts with reports, dashboards, data validation, and performance metric tracking.
• Respond to ad hoc data requests and translate findings and user feedback into actionable insights.
• Provide ePermitting Help Desk support, including responding to inquiries, basic technical assistance, and system navigation.
• Document user issues and feedback to identify recurring trends and process improvement opportunities.
• Learn data analysis and more.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
