Job summary

Medici Brands invites applications for Senior Counsel - Regulatory. The role leads regulatory strategy across products, interfaces with the FDA and other authorities, and collaborates with Legal, R&D, Quality, and Regulatory teams to support domestic and international expansion.

The ideal candidate has a JD with NY license and 5+ years in FDA compliance in the food industry, with strong communication skills and integrity. This is a full-time, in-office NYC position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD with NY license preferred.
• 5+ years of FDA compliance experience in food/consumer products.
• Strong knowledge of evolving food regulations and regulatory trends.

Responsibilities

• Manage regulatory strategy and represent the company before FDA and authorities.
• Monitor regulatory landscape and develop action plans for compliance deadlines.
• Interpret new regulations and translate into strategic recommendations for teams.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment on regulatory matters across departments.
• Support marketing on ad review and product claims substantiation.
• Support regulatory packaging review and filings as needed.
• Partner with the General Counsel on regulatory matters arising in litigation, due diligence, and contracts.
• Brief senior leadership on legislative and enforcement trends.
