Job summary

Interactive Brokers seeks an experienced regulatory attorney to join the General Counsel office in a hybrid role (4 days in office, 1 day remote) across Washington, DC. You will handle federal securities and commodities matters, advise multiple business lines, and craft policy and disclosure documents to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Attorney with 5+ years post-J.D. experience in regulatory matters, broker-dealer or FCM advisory background preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to explain complex issues clearly.
• Comfort with technology and ability to translate regulatory requirements into system and process changes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chief Regulatory & Product Counsel in handling regulatory matters across federal securities and commodities law.
• Advise Compliance and business units on federal statutes, SEC/CFTC rules, and SRO rules (FINRA, NFA, CME).
• Identify system and procedure changes needed to meet new rules and regulations.
• Draft agreements, disclosures, and website materials; respond to regulatory inquiries (SEC, FINRA, CFTC, NFA).
