Job summary

Interactive Brokers is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join the General Counsel team in Greenwich, CT, Chicago, IL or Washington, DC. The role focuses on securities and commodities disputes for broker‑dealers, with responsibilities spanning arbitration, court actions, and advising employees on pre‑litigation matters.

Candidates should have 7+ years post‑J.D. experience, strong communication skills, and comfort with technology and AI tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of post‑J.D. litigation experience
• On‑your‑feet court/arbitration experience preferred
• Familiarity with securities, futures and broker‑dealer issues preferred
• Bar in good standing in any US state or DC
• Strong comfort with computers and technology
• Facility with AI tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a small team, independently and multi‑task

Responsibilities

• Represent the firm in arbitration and other adversarial proceedings (directly or with outside counsel)
• Coordinate with outside counsel on court actions involving the firm
• Represent firm employees in third‑party proceedings
• Advise firm employees on pre‑litigation matters
• Draft agreements, disclosures, account documentation and website materials
• Investigate and provide detailed legal analyses related to trading platform issues like trade execution, anti‑fraud measures, and cybersecurity
