Our Long Beach facility currently operates as a 79-bed adult voluntary acute inpatient program, offering private rooms and individualized treatment delivered by a multidisciplinary team. We are dedicated to best practices and person-centered care, supporting each patient's journey toward stability and recovery. To promote continuity of care beyond inpatient treatment, we also offer Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs tailored to meet each individual's clinical needs. We are also actively expanding our services across Southern California, with our new San Bernardino campus expected to open later this year.

The Regulatory Coordinator supports the organization's compliance with applicable federal, state, county, licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements. The position assists with monitoring regulatory standards, maintaining compliance documentation, coordinating audits and surveys, tracking corrective actions, and supporting continuous readiness for regulatory and accreditation reviews.
Working closely with Quality, Clinical Services, Nursing, Medical Staff, Human Resources, Risk Management, and Administration, the Regulatory Specialist helps ensure that organizational policies, practices, documentation, and operations remain consistent with applicable requirements and established standards of care.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and knowledgeable about healthcare regulatory requirements, with the ability to identify compliance gaps and work collaboratively with departments to address them.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health services, business administration, public health, nursing, psychology, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent education and relevant healthcare compliance experience may be considered.
Minimum of 1-2 years of healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric hospital, regulatory, quality, compliance, or accreditation experience preferred.
Experience with healthcare regulatory requirements, audits, licensing surveys, or accreditation processes preferred.
Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health environment strongly preferred.
Knowledge of or experience with applicable healthcare regulatory and accreditation requirements, including, as applicable:
State behavioral health and healthcare licensing requirements
Federal healthcare regulations
CMS requirements
Joint Commission, CARF, or other applicable accreditation standards
Patient rights and grievance requirements
Medical record and documentation standards
Staff credentialing and competency requirements
Infection prevention and safety requirements
Quality assurance and performance improvement
Healthcare privacy and confidentiality requirements
Behavioral health and psychiatric hospital regulatory requirements
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical operational expectations.
