Join Henry Ford Health Pharmacy Advantage team as a Contingent Regulatory Compliance Specialist and help support the regulations team. An exciting opportunity for candidates with a strong pharmacy background and prior experience in a regulatory department.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Schedule: Contingent variable shift - support role.
The Pharmacy Advantage Regulatory/ Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining both State and Federal Regulatory Compliance and Licenses that allow for practicing within Michigan as well as in other states.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Representative for Pharmacy Advantage and the main point of contact for all State Boards of Pharmacy.
Responsible for tracking all State communications to Pharmacy Advantage, including pharmacy technician and pharmacist license disciplinary action notices, pharmacy technician and pharmacist license renewals, and tax filings.
Applies for and maintains renewals of pharmacy licensure, such as, State Boards of Pharmacy, DEA Licensure, Secretary of State, Registered agents, and Federal Methamphetamine documents.
Develops and completes routine files and provides related documents and requests by Regulatory Agencies (Boards of Pharmacy and Secretaries of State).
Responsible for maintaining staff licensure, including documenting, and tracking staff licensure status changes, for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and any other licensed professional.
Responsible for annual primary source verification for Accreditation standards compliance.
Contributes to creation of new policies/procedures and required changes to existing policies/procedures.
Responsible for maintaining and handling all incoming email communications to the Pharmacy Advantage Regulatory email account.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
Experience working in a nonprofit environment preferred including familiarity with basic pharmacy regulatory processes - agenda development, preparation of required documents, writing minutes and recording documents.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and database management.
Excellent written/verbal communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
Proven customer service skills with a focus on exceptional service, responsiveness, and timeliness along with flexibility.
Ability to develop and complete routine filings, resolutions and other documents related to nonprofit status.
Willingness to learn industry best practices and laws impacting pharmacy compliance both in state and in Non-Resident status.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Valid State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required OR three to five (3-5) years of related regulatory/legal experience in lieu of license.
