Job Overview

The Judge Group is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist for their team, supporting a manufacturer with locations in New York and New Jersey. This onsite role requires working five days a week with limited travel, and candidates should be located near Roselle Park or Roosevelt, NY. Note that relocation assistance is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret regulations from agencies such as FDA, USDA, FSIS, GFSI, and local health departments to ensure compliance.
• Develop, implement, and maintain regulatory compliance programs and SOPs related to food safety, labeling, packaging, and ingredients.
• Review and approve product labels, ingredient statements, and marketing claims for compliance.
• Coordinate audits and inspections, preparing documentation and facilitating regulatory reviews.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, production, and supply chain teams during product development and launches.
• Investigate compliance-related issues, manage complaints, incidents, recalls, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records and reports related to regulatory submissions and audit outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Food Science or a related field required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of regulatory compliance experience, specifically in the food industry.
