Job summary

Anderson Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of IDEAL Industries, Inc., is a leader in electrical power connectors. We seek a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to ensure products meet global environmental and chemical regulations.

You will track updates, manage BOMs, and file compliance with REACH, RoHS, PFAS, TSCA, Prop 65, and more. You'll collaborate with engineering and supply chain, enforce policies, and prepare detailed regulatory documents for customers and regulators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or a related engineering field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product stewardship, regulatory affairs or supply chain compliance within manufacturing or heavily regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, environmental laws, and industry-specific compliance standards.
  • Deep understanding of global chemical directives and acts like RoHS, TSCA, and PFAS.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineers and supply chain teams to ensure compliance is embedded in product design and sourcing decisions.
  • Develop, update, and enforce compliance policies and procedures in alignment with international trade laws, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations worldwide and communicate their impact to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports, declarations and documentation to support customers’ regulatory compliance questionnaire activities.
  • Advise on compliance aspects of new product development and supply chain management to ensure regulatory adherence.

As environmental and social demands increase in our markets across the globe, we are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to ensure our product lines meet strict worldwide environmental and chemical regulations

Position Overview

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist position evaluates product portfolios, vets global supply chains, and manages material declarations to meet international environmental laws (included but not limited to REACH, RoHS, PFAS, EU POPs, TSCA, Prop 65, and EU Deforestation). This role will track regulatory updates, audit Bill of Materials (BOMs), and guide engineering to ensure legal market access. Collect, analyze, and validate Material Declarations and Certificates of Compliance from suppliers using platforms like Source Intelligence and IMDS Database. Manage hazardous substance tracking and substitution programs to comply with PFAS restrictions and limits on substances of very high concern (SVHC) under REACH. Prepare and file SCIP dossiers for the EU POP framework and oversee Prop 65 warning label requirements. Trace raw materials and products through the supply chain to secure required due diligence statements. Utilize ERP systems to maintain databases, conduct risk assessments, and generate compliance reports for internal teams and regulators.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or advanced certification in Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, or related discipline.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented compliance professional who can partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages relevant to key manufacturing regions.
  • Experience with digital compliance management tools and software.

The expected salary for this position is between $66,932.00 and $90,023.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
