Blue Owl Capital seeks an experienced Principal for Regulatory Compliance to lead key workstreams under the Investment Company Act of 1940, supporting BDCs, registered funds and other 1940 Act products. The role involves governance of Board and Audit Committee processes, and collaboration with Legal, Finance, and operations across the firm.

The ideal candidate has deep 1940 Act knowledge, strong governance experience, and an ability to lead complex projects while mentoring others.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 10+ years of work experience in investment management, financial services, or industry compliance.
• Deep expertise in the 1940 Act and related rules.
• Experience with private markets, real assets, or private funds is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Lead 1940 Act compliance framework for BDCs, registered funds, and other products; coordinate regulatory requirements.
• Manage D&O compliance for corporate and fund Boards; monitor related party transactions and Section 16 reporting.
• Coordinate Board and Audit Committee governance; prepare materials and follow up on issues.
• Monitor regulatory developments and SEC guidance; advise on policy updates for compliance.
• Develop and enhance compliance program for 1940 Act products; support launches and new regulations.
• Own the framework for fee and expense governance; coordinate with Finance and Legal.
• Support cross-functional compliance initiatives: ESG, cybersecurity, AI governance, data privacy.
• Drive strategic initiatives; mentor junior staff; advise Compliance leadership.
