Manager, Product & Regulatory Compliance
Remote | Full-time
Be the person who makes mortgage technology compliant by design.
Every day, lenders trust our client’s technology to close loans correctly. As our Manager, Product & Regulatory Compliance, you’ll be the expert behind that trust. You’ll own our compliance program, turn new rules into product requirements, and be the calm voice clients rely on when something needs answering fast.
This is an individual contributor role with real reach. You’ll work with Product, Risk/InfoSec, Account Management, and Legal, and you’ll report directly to our Head of Legal.
What you’ll do
- Stay ahead of regulatory change. Track CFPB, HUD/FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and state rules, and assess how each one affects our products.
- Turn regulation into requirements. Write clear specs that product and engineering can build and test against. Work with product managers so mandated changes ship before their effective dates.
- Own the compliance program. Run our policies, procedures, risk assessments, and controls. Support SOC audits, client audits, vendor due-diligence questionnaires, and regulator inquiries, and track findings through to remediation.
- Be the go-to expert. Advise on TRID, RESPA, TILA/Reg Z, and FDCPA. Help assess and prioritize compliance issues clients report in production. Explain how our products support specific regulations through release notes, advisories, and webinars.
- Teach. Deliver compliance training across the company.
What you bring
- A law degree and bar admission, or equivalent corporate or industry experience in mortgage compliance
- 5+ years of mortgage compliance experience, ideally at a lender or mortgage technology company
- In-depth knowledge of federal mortgage regulations, GSE and agency guidelines, and state requirements
- Experience running or supporting a compliance program, including policies, audits, and client or regulator inquiries
- Experience translating regulation into product requirements
- Sound judgment under pressure when handling live client issues
- Strong writing skills and the knack for explaining complex rules in plain language
- Working knowledge of privacy and data protection (GLBA, state privacy laws)
- Familiarity with emerging AI and model governance expectations
Why this role
- High visibility with the leadership and product teams
- Real influence over what we build and when
- Flexible work: fully remote with 5% travel or less
