Job summary

Eagle Creek Renewable Energy is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our Regulatory Affairs Team. The role supports and leads compliance initiatives, tracks licensing and permits, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory adherence across our hydroelectric projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in environmental or regulatory compliance, with excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple regulatory tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, environmental policy, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in regulatory compliance, environmental compliance, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience with permitting processes and compliance tracking.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project relicensing, including strategy development, planning and execution of environmental field studies, and coordination of consultants.
• Track, monitor, and report on license compliance requirements.
• Interface with Federal and State regulatory personnel and support permit acquisitions.
• Ensure project compliance across geographic divisions with Operations and an IMS.
• Analyze data and prepare regulatory plans and reports.
• Evaluate site-specific regulatory requirements and ensure adherence.
• Conduct regulatory due diligence on potential acquisitions of new facilities.
• Support training for regulatory interns.
• Perform other regulatory and compliance duties as assigned.

Our Regulatory Affairs Team is responsible for ensuring that our hydroelectric projects are operated in 100% compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering strong relationships with project stakeholders.

About the Role: We are seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our Regulatory Affairs Team. This role will support and lead various compliance-related initiatives to ensure adherence to licensing and regulatory requirements. The Compliance Analyst will work closely with the Licensing and Compliance Manager to track compliance obligations, oversee permitting processes, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with project relicensing, including overall strategy development, planning and execution of environmental field studies, and scheduling, and coordination of consultants and vendors.
• Track, monitor, and report on license compliance requirements.
• Interface with Federal and State Regulatory Personnel and support the acquisition of local, state, and federal permits for planned or emergency site work and project improvements.
• Ensure project compliance across multiple geographic divisions, in coordination with the Operations department, utilizing an Information Management System.
• Analyze scientific and operational data, prepare compliance plans and reports.
• Evaluate site-specific regulatory requirements and ensure adherence.
• Conduct regulatory due diligence on potential acquisitions of new hydroelectric facilities.
• Support training for new regulatory interns.
• Perform other regulatory and compliance duties as assigned.

What Skills & Experience You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, environmental policy, Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in regulatory compliance, environmental compliance, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience with permitting processes and compliance tracking.
• Ability to analyze environmental data and prepare regulatory plans and reports.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Information Management Systems is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and balance competing priorities.
