Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of safety or environmental compliance experience preferred.
  • Experience with electric utilities and safety/environmental compliance a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn various software.
  • Willingness to travel across the state and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains positive working relationships with member cooperatives.
  • Researches and develops written policies and programs for regulatory compliance.
  • Assembles documentation for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develops and presents regulatory training to program members.
  • Prepares reports, correspondence, and records related to regulatory compliance.
  • Advises on steps to prevent environmental issues in line with regulations and goals.
  • Coordinates audits and work with safety departments; conducts regulatory education sessions.
