Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a senior Regulatory Chemistry leader to oversee registrations and compliance for crop protection products. You will guide a team of chemists, ensure data quality for submissions, and collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain to meet regulatory commitments.

The role requires a chemistry background, 8+ years in regulatory roles, and 2+ years in supervision, with travel up to 10% and optional postgraduate qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or Agronomy is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in pesticide, fertilizer, or agricultural chemical registration, regulatory chemistry, product stewardship, or related roles with focus on Crop Protection under FIFRA.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial leadership role.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of EPA registration requirements (FIFRA/TSCA) and product chemistry data requirements.
• Proven experience interpreting laboratory and analytical data for regulatory submissions.
• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks outside the U.S. (EU, Canada, LATAM).
• Proven experience leading technical or SME teams and ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Postgraduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing coaching and development to direct reports in areas such as EU REACH compliance and SDS maintenance.
• Serve as SME for Loveland products and wholesale chemistry support, delivering regulatory documentation and assessments.
• Provide chemistry-based regulatory support for product registrations, audits, and lifecycle management.
• Drive cross-training initiatives across product chemists to share knowledge and regulatory understanding.
• Prepare and deliver regulatory documentation for submissions.
• Translate R&D and manufacturing data into regulator-ready summaries and assessments.
• Collaborate with R&D, labs, production, quality control, and supply chain to align chemistry with regulatory commitments.
• Gather, review, and approve technical and regulatory chemistry data.
• Utilize regulatory knowledge management systems for data entry, retrieval, and version control.
• Model safety values by fostering a culture focused on a safe work environment.
• Complete additional tasks to meet business needs.
