Job summary

The State of Missouri seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Section for Long-Term Care in Kansas City. The role surveys facilities for compliance with state and federal rules and investigates complaints. Telecommuter status may be available after training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in Missouri or under Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Official college transcripts must be submitted.
• 0–3 years of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys, licensure inspections, and complaint investigations as assigned.
• Monitor care in long term care facilities to ensure regulatory standards are met.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with residents, providers, and the public.
• Attend team meetings and participate in on-call duty on weekends/holidays as assigned.
• Present information to identify violations and support regulatory citations with multiple evidence sources.
