Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist in Okemos, MI. The role focuses on preparing and submitting regulatory filings to ensure compliance across multiple product lines and coordinates with internal teams to meet filing deadlines.

Responsibilities include monitoring state regulations, performing filings via SERFF or similar portals, and supporting policy language and regulatory responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, legal studies or related field; 3 years' legal or compliance experience.
• Knowledge of SERFF, NAIC rules, and legal research tools (NILS, Westlaw).
• Experience dealing with departments of insurance and regulatory filings.

Responsibilities

• Researches, prepares and submits regulatory filings to insurance departments for form and rate filings for dental, vision, life, disability and Medicare supplement products.
• Submits network, advertising and other regulatory filings for review and approval.
• Keeps a database of applicable laws and regulations and monitors changes that impact the company.
• Communicates with state insurance department officials regarding filings and secures timely approvals.
• Provides updates to internal business units on filing statuses and supports contract language and filing submissions via SERFF or other portals.
• Assists in monitoring regulatory developments and prepares recommended responses.
