Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Manager, Regulatory Affairs to represent the company before regulators and operators in the West, manage relationships with state agencies and industry groups, and oversee regulatory approvals for projects and commercial transactions.

The role reports to the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for the Western Region and features a hybrid schedule, with in-office work Monday through Thursday and remote Fridays.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in relevant fields required; MBA/MA or JD preferred.
• 3-5+ years of industry experience.
• Willingness to travel; varies by location.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs team members in other regions and manage staff or consultants as appropriate.
• Manage external counsel and consultants.
• Build relationships with external regulators and stakeholders (PUCs, CAISO, trade organizations).
• Engage with state agencies and stakeholders in the West.
• Communicate with Invenergy personnel in development, asset management, legal, transmission, interconnection and origination functions.
• Develop, advocate and implement policy changes in regulatory forums to improve Invenergy’s competitive position.
• Form and lead coalitions on issues like ISO rules, interconnection, and market expansion.
• Assist in data collection for market registrations and project participation.
• Prepare annual budgets for trade organizations and consultants.
• Participate in meetings and hearings.
• Provide regular updates to internal business groups.
