Job summary

Eagle in Houston, TX is seeking a Non- Sterile Microbiology Technician to support daily lab operations, handle samples, and maintain a compliant, clean laboratory environment. You will follow SOPs and assist with environmental monitoring, testing, and data entry.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related life science, flexibility for overtime, and strong attention to detail. Experience in regulated labs is a plus; proficient in MS Office and LIMS is beneficial.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology or related life science required.
Basic knowledge of microbiology techniques and lab safety.
Experience in a regulated lab environment preferred (cGMP, cGLP, ISO 17025).

Responsibilities

Perform routine microbiology tasks including sample handling, plating, incubation and monitoring per SOPs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all lab areas and stock rooms.
Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; handle glassware and tools with care.
Prepare media, detergents, reagents; manage inventory using FIFO.
Support inventory management, stocking and logistics for lab operations.
Dispose of biohazardous waste per SOPs and safety protocols.
Document accurately activity, sample data, maintenance logs and inventory.
Assist in training new staff on procedures and compliance.
Collaborate with microbiologists and cross-functional teams to improve workflow.
Provide customer service support for client inquiries and sample logistics.
