Job summary

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops seeks a Research Associate 2 to support the regulated field trial network, executing yield trials in corn and soybeans with precision and accuracy to generate high-quality data for product identification.

You will locate testing locations, manage planting, phenotyping, and harvesting, supervise staff, and ensure safety and regulatory paperwork are followed. Strong agronomy knowledge and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or bachelor's with relevant experience required.
• Experience with precision agriculture equipment and software systems.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Licenses such as Part 107 FAA, medical card for CMV, CDL desirable.
• Deep knowledge of agriculture and agronomy; ability to ensure trial data accuracy.
• Strong communication; ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Locate and contract testing locations; plant, maintain, spray, phenotype, and harvest plots.
• Serve as SME for regulated field trials; ensure paperwork and stewardship compliance.
• Act as key contact for testing sites; oversee machinery and equipment.
• Guide field layout, planting, phenotyping, harvest; supervise contract labor.
• Communicate status of trials and data quality to peers and supervisors.
• Propose process improvements for local and regional sites.
