Job summary

Cust-O-Fab in Beaumont, TX is seeking skilled welders to join our shop floor team. You will read blueprints and welding procedures, set up equipment, and fabricate or repair shell & tube exchangers, vessels, and towers.

We prioritize safety, PPE compliance, and high productivity. Candidates must pass a weld qualification and be willing to learn carbon-arc gouging and help finish jobs on time.

Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential to maintain quality and meet customer specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass weld qualification test to acquire a code weld stamp.
• Must be able to read AutoCAD prints for required specifications.
• Must be willing to learn to become efficient at arc gouging with a carbon-arc.
• Must be a team player who can work well with others to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and weld procedures to ensure all welds meet specifications.
• Set up welding equipment, prepare materials and maintain a clean workstation.
• Perform weld processes to fabricate or repair shell & tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and/or towers while maintaining less than a 5% x-ray repair rate.
• Work with QC personnel to ensure quality on all welds.
• Complete assigned work within given time frame and according to specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times on shop floor.
