Job summary

Polarits is seeking a RegOps Java Lead Developer to join our Metro Park Office, NJ (Hybrid, 2-3 days on-site). The role collaborates with operations, compliance and IT to deliver new regulatory reporting capabilities using modern data and software architectures.

You will lead small-to-mid sized teams, mentor developers and ensure delivery of complex regulatory software solutions aligned with risk and controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of core Java server development experience.
• Strong knowledge of XML, Spring and Camel Framework.
• Proficient in message queues (Kafka, JMS, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ).
• Proficient in SQL and RDBMS (SQL Server, Sybase).
• Experience with Agile and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube).
• Experience leading small-to-medium teams and mentoring developers.

Job Title: RegOps Java Lead Developer

Work location: Metro Park Office - NJ (Hybrid, 2-3 days/week on-site)

Note: This position is with a foreign bank. Local candidates strongly preferred. USC/GC strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regulatory reporting and related operational capabilities leveraging modern technologies and data & software architectures.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of core Java server development experience with a focus on server-side systems.
• Strong knowledge of XML, Spring and Camel Framework.
• Proficient in message queues (Kafka, JMS, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, etc.) and integration with enterprise systems.
• Proficient in SQL, and experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, Sybase, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Agile, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube).
• Proven track record of leading small-to-medium teams, mentoring developers, and managing deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial products (derivatives IRD/FX/CRD).
• Experience with operations systems processes like regulatory reporting systems and collateral management processes.

Education
