Registration & Insurance Verification Center Representative - Pre-Certification Division
Position Description:
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Location: Remote

The Registration & Insurance Verification Center Representative will have good communication skills, both written and verbal, along with good active listening skills. This is an entry-level position, and typical duties include responsibility for obtaining appropriate treatment authorizations from payers for outpatient visits and procedures, and outpatient diagnostic services, answering customer calls or completing general tasks and providing accurate, satisfactory answers or resolutions; reviewing customer accounts and providing general updates and information, and the ability to de-escalate situations, and escalate when necessary. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with adaptability and flexibility. The Registration & Insurance Verification Center Representative will be highly encouraged to complete the professional growth and competency program assigned to this position to develop the skills and knowledge to advance to an associate position within one year of starting position.
Position Requirements:
Ambulatory Access Services includes but is not limited to, medical record and encounter creation, registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, pre-authorization, communication of patient responsibility, and other pre-arrival activities in both an ambulatory and hospital setting.
This position is 100% remote

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Answers calls from schedulers, clinics, physician office staff and patients
• Verifies and updates missing or incorrect demographic information
• Clearly and thoroughly documents actions on patient accounts
• Performs routine tasks with direction
• Complete assigned duties within designated timeframe
• Monitor emails daily
• Report any and all issues to leadership
• Meets productivity and accuracy standards
• Other duties as assigned
