Job summary

Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah is looking for a Registration Clerk (PRN) to assist in patient registration and information management. You will be responsible for interviewing patients and creating medical records accurately.

The candidate will also ensure that all admissions and discharges are reported correctly and handle related administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interview patient or family to obtain complete and accurate demographic and insurance information for distribution to appropriate hospital departments.
• Accurately create the Emergency Department Face Sheet of the patient’s medical record.
• Complete patient registration forms.
• Correctly input information in the computer, reporting all admissions and discharges.
• Answer telephone, copy documents, file paperwork and perform related duties.

Madison Parish Hospital is currently accepting applications for one (1) Registration Clerk (PRN).

Responsibilities

• Interview patient or family to obtain complete and accurate demographic and insurance information for distribution to appropriate hospital departments.
• Accurately create the Emergency Department Face Sheet of the patient’s medical record, using proper computer codes and procedures.
• Complete patient registration forms.
• Correctly input information in the computer, reporting the disposition of all patients including all admissions, discharges, and other occurrences.
• Answer telephone, copy documents, file paperwork and perform related duties as directed by Supervisor and Department Head.
