Registration Clerk in Emergency Department - 2 Full-Time Positions

Troy Regional is seeking candidates for two FULL-TIME Registration Clerk positions to work NIGHTS in our Emergency Department.

Shift Details:

  • Shift 1: NIGHTS, 7:00 P.M. - 7:00 A.M., Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
  • Shift 2: Hours may vary; 36 to 40 hours per week. All shifts are scheduled 4 weeks in advance.

The Registration Clerk will register patients presenting to the Emergency Room for treatment, testing, or admission. Responsibilities include ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately, verifying insurance information, initiating pre-authorizations, entering patient data into the system, and collecting deductibles and co-payments at the time of service.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
  • Experience: One year of healthcare office experience is recommended; training available for candidates with office experience. Basic medical office and insurance terminology knowledge is preferred. Must be able to multitask and work independently. Strong communication skills are required.
  • Licenses/Certificates: Current Alabama driver's license.
