Job summary

Agile Defense in Alexandria, VA, seeks a Junior Registration Authority (RA) to support DISA J6 C4E PKI/I implementations on NIPR/SIPR networks. You will assist in token creation, interface with Trusted Agents for token requests, distribution, and PIN unlocks.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in Information Assurance or Cybersecurity, with DoD or Federal PKI/PKE exposure. On-site work and potential after-hours support for releases and outages are possible.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in Information Assurance or Cybersecurity.
• 1–3 years' experience in DoD or Federal PKI/PKE.
• 0-1 years' experience as RA/KRA on NIPR/SIPR.
• Experience aligning RA operations with DoD PKI RA-LRA CPS, DoD RPS, and JSP processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support as Registration Authority for PKI tokens.
• Assist RA personnel in creating NIPR and/or SIPR PKI tokens and interface with Trusted Agents for token requests, distribution and PIN unlocking.
• Support issuance, revocation, suspension, and restoration of certificates on Unclassified and Classified networks.
• Monitor RA Operations to ensure alignment with DISA audit requirements.
• Support registration and termination of RAs and Trusted Agents.

The Work

The Junior RA role provides entry level, on-site support as a Registration Authority for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) J6 C4E supporting the DoD’s Public Key Encryption/Infrastructure (PKE/I) implementation. As a Registration Authority, the candidate’s duties will include providing specialized expertise to assist Registration Authority (RA) personnel in the creation of NIPR and/or SIPR PKI tokens, and interfacing with Trusted Agents for Token request, distribution and unlocking PINs.

Required Experience and Education

• 1-3 years' experience in Information Assurance / Cybersecurity
• 1-3 years' experience in technical positions focusing primarily on DoD or Federal PKI or PKE
• 1-3 years’ requirement identified can be concurrent and/or overlapping
• 0-1 years' experience as Registration Authority / Key Recovery Agent (RA/KRA) on NIPR and SIPR
• Monitor Registration Authority (RA) Operations in accordance with DoD PKI RA-LRA CPS, DoD Registration Practice Statement (RPS), and internal Joint Service Provider (JSP) processes and procedures to ensure RA Operations are aligned with DISA audit requirements.
• Outstanding customer support and knowledge transfer
• Issuance of Non-Person Entity (NPE), user, admin, group, role, VIP, and mobile code-signing certificates
• Support revocation, suspension, and restoration of a certificate on Unclassified and/or Classified networks
• Support registration and/or termination of RAs and Trusted Agents (TAs)
• Perform third party key recovery
• Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages
