Job summary

Maury Regional Health is seeking a PRN Clerical/Administrative teammate in Patient Accounts. Join our team to help deliver compassionate care and create a welcoming experience for patients and visitors. You will register patients, route or escort, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and answer questions.

The role requires critical thinking, accuracy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. This position is on-site and located in Lewisburg, TN.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• 2 Years of Related Healthcare Experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient registration data meets quality and accuracy standards.
• Verify and maintain accurate provider and insurance information in patient records.
• Research and resolve registration and billing-related errors within established timeframes.
• Accurately process patient payments and balance cash drawer activities.
• Obtain and document accident and claim information as required.
• Follow patient identification procedures to ensure accurate medical record selection.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare replacement plan filing requirements and organizational policies.
• Build collaborative relationships with patients, visitors, providers, and team members to support effective operations.

Job Summary

Create a positive impression for each patient, family member, visitor or staff while performing the tasks of registering, routing or escorting patients, family or visitors. Register patients to receive medical services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Obtain demographic information, validate insurance, and collect payments. Answer and/or refer questions received from patients, visitors, and staff. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
