Job description

This is an exciting time for the Park Ridge Park District, Oakton Sports Complex will soon be re-opening its doors to the newly renovated facility. Come work at the new state of the art facility and be part of the excitement! We are seeking to hire a Registrar at the Oakton Sports Complex. This position is responsible for a variety of customer service tasks including greeting and assisting customers, answering phone calls and emails, channeling inquiries to appropriate staff members, cash control sheets, processing rentals, payments, registrations, and memberships. Works closely with and provides guidance to part-time staff to ensure that front-desk operations meet the established standard of customer service. Position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 73.

Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma/G.ED. plus two to three years of customer service or administrative experience. Intermediate level written and verbal communication in the English language is required as well as knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of, or the capability to learn, the RecTrac Registration System. Must be CPR/AED and first-aid certified or have the ability to become certified (through our district) within 90 days of employment.

Availability: We are seeking an applicant to work weekdays, Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break), 35 hours per week. Occasional early morning, evening or weekend hours may be required.
