Job summary

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a data/reporting specialist to develop reports, electronic forms, workflows, and other electronic processes within the student information system. You will write XSL expressions, deliver content to end-users, and create interfaces between the SIS and other systems.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience with data analysis, reporting, and information systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a data/analytics/IS field and 1 year of related experience; additional years may substitute for education/experience.
Knowledge of information systems and the ability to conduct database queries and write reports.

Responsibilities

Create new reports, electronic forms, workflows, and other electronic processes using the SIS toolset.
Write XSL expressions within system tools to create electronic documents and communications.
Deliver content to the SIS end-users in easy to consume formats; use SQL and WebFOCUS to write queries against the SIS.
Create system interfaces between the SIS and other subsidiary systems.
Develop data branching logic to produce datasets for reporting and data analysis tools.
Determine means to meet end-users’ reporting and analysis needs; provide updates to users and administrators.
