Total Weekly Hours: 0 (schedule to be determined)

Work Schedule & Orientation

Availability to complete 3 weeks of dayshift orientation, with a schedule created by the hiring manager. Minimum of 4 shifts per month, including weekends, holidays, and weekdays, at various Patient Access departments.

Summary of Role

Gather and enter patient demographic information, verify benefits, obtain authorizations, collect co-pays and deposits, and perform accurate registrations. Ensure compliance with regulations and provide excellent customer service as the first contact of Virtua.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and verify patient insurance and identification documents, entering data accurately.
  • Secure signatures on consent and regulatory documents, process paperwork.
  • Collect payments and facilitate billing issue resolutions.
  • Identify financial assistance options for patients.
  • Support office operations including telephony, scheduling, and filing.
Qualifications

Minimum 1 year customer service experience in a professional setting; medical office or admittance experience preferred. Strong communication skills, ability to handle stressful situations, basic typing and computer skills. High School diploma required. Epic system experience highly preferred.
