Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a PRN patient registration specialist to greet patients, collect information, and verify insurance at the point of service. You will initiate financial counseling, collect payments, and prepare patient estimates while serving as the primary point of contact for all initial communications.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or two years of college) and at least six months of customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or completion of two years of college level classes.
• Minimum of 6 months customer service required.
• Knowledge of computers and standard office equipment required.
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
• Preferred: medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Register patients presenting to Freeman Health System.
• Conduct patient interviews to obtain registration information and forms.
• Obtain signatures and initiate financial counseling process.
• Collect monies owed and verify insurance at point of service.
• Calculate patient estimates and represent Freeman Health System as the front-line contact.

What You'll Do
